  • Unlike some other injectables, Viscoderm Hydrobooster generally only requires two sessions. A review is recommended at eight weeks, but a third procedure is not usually needed unless advised by your practitioner. For maintenance, we recommend a treatment every six months, though this again can vary depending on individual needs.

Preparation

  • • No invasive facial treatments such as chemical peels, dermal filler or skin boosters

    • No Laser Hair Removal/IPL treatments on the face

  • • No depilatory use on face

  • • Avoid alcohol due to increased risk of bruising

  • All make up will be removed prior to treatment, where possible please arrive at clinic make up free. For 24 hours prior to treatment, avoid alcohol, asprin, ibuprofen, St John’s Wort, fish oils, Gingko Biloba and vitamins C & E as they can contribute towards bruising.

    The injections sting briefly, but on the whole this passes quickly. Following treatment you will notice raised area’s where the Viscoderm Hydrobooster has been injected. These usually go down in 6-24hrs. There have been reports that this has lasted 2-3 days for some patients.

    Full aftercare instructions will be given to you on leaving clinic.

Aftercare

  • Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness, itching sensation in the treated area.

    These reactions are temporary and generally disappear in a few days. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please contact your practitioner at the clinic.

    Avoid touching, manipulating or massaging the treatment area for 24 hours after the treatment. After that the area can be washed with a gentle cleanser and sterile make-up can be applied.

    Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (e.g, solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold. Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming to avoid risk of infection.

  • Avoid alcohol for 24hrs post treatment

  • Apply SPF 50 sunscreen.

Treatment deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled within 48 hours of your appointment, as per our cancellation policy. However, if you wish to reschedule or cancel outside of the 48-hour period we will happily transfer your appointment or refund you the deposit amount.
